I have an obsession with all things damask lately. I want to buy pretty much anything I see with that pattern. I can see that being overkill very easily. Luckily, I haven't let it take over my life. The only thing I've purchased with that pattern is the stroller/car seat combination.
So here is a totally random question.... does anyone hate going to the grocery store as much as I do? I pretty much put it off every day that I can until all that is left to eat is stale bread and pb&j. bleck!
Last weekend while visiting Wren, I bought an amazing pair of Steve Madden sunglasses. I picked them up and said "who in their right mind would spend this much on sunglasses?!"... and then I tried them on! I remembered I had a gift card from Christmas in almost the exact amount and I quickly purchased them! Yay me! I think they'll be perfect on the beach this summer. I've never had a good pair and they always hurt my head... not any more!
Speaking of Wren, while we were visiting, I remember one of the last times we saw each other. Caroline was probably a week old and I was having some hormonal issues. I was so depressed! I was really struggling to keep it together and apparently doing a pretty good job with it. I was laughing with Wren about it saying "remember how crazy I was" and she said "girl I still laugh about that to this day! You had like 4 tears and called that a breakdown! Dan is a lucky man because that was definitely not a breakdown!" I feel like I cry all the time now because I never used to cry. My SIL once told me that she cried a lot more after having children and I've learned that to be very true for me as well! When I went to visit my friend in the hospital after she had her baby I just cried and cried because I was so happy about her new addition. She probably thought I was insane. I do the same thing talking to my friend Julie about her baby that is due in July. Help us all when I finally lay eyes on him! =D
Speaking of my SIL, she is an amazing photographer and did my birth announcements! I loved them! I'm behind on sharing it with my online friends, but here it is anyway:

Check out her photography site if you're in the Jackson area (or even if you aren't) and are interested in having pictures made. She makes you feel so comfortable and is very reasonable to work with! :)
Anyway, this weekend is going to be so much fun because we're visiting family for Easter! I hope to come back with lots of pictures! Hope y'all have a great Easter weekend and that we all remember the true significance of this holiday. I've been thinking "He is Risen!" all day... I'm a little ahead of the game on that one. Just excited, I guess!

I just got home from the grocery store, so i understand what you're saying at the moment. My advice would be to find your closest Publix and go make friends with the folks that work there. I've been friends with publix peeps in 3 states :) It will make your shopping trip much better to have a friendly face every few aisles.
Also? I am all about the damask. I'll have to find a pic of my old bathroom in Florida. 24" repeat pattern of the print. ridiculous.
Do you like my new camera strap? (see my latest blog post) ;)...
I'm the opposite -- I love grocery shopping! Probably has to do with my love of food and cooking... I have a few rules though that keep me happy:
1) I avoid shopping on evenings or weekends (can't stand it when it's busy!).
2) I typed up a grocery list for my store that lists all the items by aisle. Each week I print one and highlight the items we need, so I know exactly which aisles to go through (and which to avoid). It makes my trip very efficient!
3) I try to pick something new every time I shop (whether it's a new fruit, cereal, etc..) just for fun!
Happy Easter! :)
p.s. Caroline is so beautiful!!
Hahaha! Yep...my breakdowns usually involve the "ugly cry" and a whole box of tissues. I don't have many, but they are ALWAYS hormone related! lol.
