Newest Baby pictures!

I had another sonogram this morning and everything is lookin' good! :)
I'm 12 weeks pregnant today and so I only have two more weeks to go and I'll be done with my first trimester! Yay! The baby is now about the size of your little pinky! The lady doing the ultrasound kept trying to get the baby to move, but he or she wouldn't budge. I hoping this is a sign of a calm, sleepy baby in January! HA!! She kept poking my belly with her finger to make the baby move... to no avail. Stubborn already....

I thought I saw a little boy part in one of the shots, but the lady said it could be that or it could be the umbilical cord. I now think it is a boy! We'll see if my assumptions are right in about 6 more weeks. Enough of me already, here are the pictures!

Well my fetal doppler came in the mail on Saturday! YAY! It was hard to find the heartbeat, and hard to keep hearing it once I found it. I hope it will get louder/easier as I get further along! I recorded it to my computer but have been unsuccessful when trying to upload the video to my blog. Maybe I'll try again soon. :)

If you're interested in the doppler, I rent it for 24 bucks a month from www.babybeat.com. It works!!! It is so reassuring for me to be able to hear that little heartbeat whenever I want to.

Saturday was Dan's 30th birthday and I so sad that I wasn't there to help him celebrate but that was the day that the doppler came in and he was able to hear it over the phone. Not too shabby for a birthday present! :) I have another sonogram a week from tomorrow and I think it is one of the last 2 sonograms I'll have. Bummer, but that means this is a healthy pregnancy- so, I'm great with that!

Yes... I know it is entirely too early to actually hear my baby's heartbeat with this thing... and even when I am further along, it doesn't get very good reviews... but I will definitely be buying one eventually to see for myself.

update: I knew y'all would say it doesn't work... :p
Tina made a great suggestion on something she tried. I signed up to rent a fetal doppler and it should be coming in the next few days. Keep your fingers crossed that it works for me as well as it did for Tina! :)

Well, I don't have a whole lot of interesting things to blog about because, to be honest, things are pretty boring without my Dan Man here. Week nights are fine and I almost enjoy all the "me" time. Weekends, however, are another story. It is way too quiet and lonely here on Saturdays and Sundays! It's just depressing that I don't really have any big plans on those days (except for church... which I'm so glad I have because otherwise I might stay in my PJs all weekend long). I just keep counting down the days & weeks until my next doctors appointment (June 30th) and until I get to fly to see Dan! I'm taking a 3 day trip to Jacksonville on the weekend of July 4th and I can't WAIT! We had our 2nd wedding anniversary yesterday and my Mom & Gommy decided to treat us by paying for my plane tickets... that was a HUGE help.

Well, I guess that's all for now! I need to go to sleep now! Goodnight friends!

That right there is our little baby! :) I'm 9 weeks along. He or she and has been makin' Momma pretty sick this week! We are overjoyed!
