Seriously??

Has it really been almost an entire month since I blogged? I know you all have been suffering... so let me end your pain. :)

Dan and I decided to take a week long trip to the beach & to Jackson to visit family and just returned yesterday. The beach was cold and windy and honestly, not that fun. I was a little bummed that we didn't get all that sun that I was hoping for, but it was good to have a change of pace and some quality time with my hubby. We also stopped by for two days in Gulfport (where Dan was offered his new job). We looked at neighborhoods and looked at some houses as well. Then we headed to Jackson on Thursday. Friday we watched Dan's brother David graduate from dental school. We're so proud of him & excited for him and his family as they begin this next chapter in their lives. They just moved to Clinton and Amy threw David a surprise graduation party on Saturday. I really enjoyed prepping for the party and spending time with all of them! I decided that I'm going to have to hire Amy after we buy a house to decorate each room! She has a real eye for colors & decor!! I also got to spend some time with my mom, step dad, and Gommy. We went to P.F. Changs and it was delicious! Their spring rolls are the best. I'll probably be visiting Jackson again around the 4th of July for the Henry get together and more time with my family.

The week away from everything was good (I definitely needed a break), but it really had made me appreciate home! There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed!

Dan will only be here for about another week and then he is off to training. He leaves next Tuesday, the 2nd. I decided today that I'll be reading twilight a 2nd time when he leaves. That should help pass some time!! I'm sad he will be going away for so long... but ready to get it all started and over with.

I hope all of you have had a wonderful 3 day weekend! My bff Lauren was in town taking care of Shelby for us last week and is staying a few more days this week! I'm taking advantage of the many phase 10 games she has been playing with me. :)
